I am just a child of God trying to walk the narrow path that is laid out before me. I make wrong turns and get lost sometimes…but in the end, I always turn back to the narrow path that is written on my heart for direction, truth, refuge and love. Right now my path has me at Duke Divinity School earning a Master of Divinity graduate degree, studying to be a Pediatric Chaplain. I am focusing on the suffering, sick and dying children of our world because I yearn to love, understand and serve them to the best of my human ability through the grace of God. I am spending this semester on a spiritual pilgrimage in the holy land of Israel and Italy, touching the places that Jesus touched, and asking God countless questions that have no answers here on earth. I am growing. I do not see into what exactly because I am unable to see far ahead on this narrow path of mine. But I know that I can I trust the Author of it all who faithfully illuminates the next step I need to take. What more could I ask for?
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Prov. 3:5-6
